During the crisis situation due to the spread of the Corona virus and we have to stay at home, of course, change the way we work. As an artist who is active in social and environmental areas, this situation limits activities with the community. Yes, my art practice is not only done in the studio but also with the community in various places in Indonesia (in Java & Bali) and in various countries (Germany, Australia, Canada & Tibet Plateau / China) with a focus on environmental, social & cultural issues. I think the practice of art like this is very relevant to the current situation. Which will encourage the general public to work together. Even if there is a "limitation of social distance" we will still be able to work through social media.

The dangerous negative impact of this crisis situation besides mass death is economic destruction that will bring problems and very serious chaos. That needs to be dealt with creatively and critically to avoid total destruction. Then where is the function and role of art in situations like this? Art is a creative medium that is very flexible, and can respond to any conditions and situations. Which can provide inspiration to find alternative and creative solutions to the problems. Besides being a medium to convey important information creatively so that it can stimulate imagination and fantasy. So we don't need to stagnate in tragic conditions.
